- Peacock Themed Bridal Shower -

After sharing my sister Kelsey's bridal shower, I thought I would post some pictures from my other sister Kacie's bridal shower 2 years ago.  We chose a more modern classic peacock theme for her shower.  With the help of my sister, mom, and all the bridesmaids, Kacie's shower was a success.

- Vintage Bridal Shower -

For months I have been coming up with ideas for my sister's vintage themed bridal shower.  The shower came together perfectly this past March with the help of my sister and mom's help.  Thanks to much Pinterest inspiration, we came up with some vintage party decor.  A family friend also made a beautiful mint green cake for the occasion.  Not only was it fun setting up for the party, we had a great time that day with close family & friends.

A new look for those old paper wedding bells.

My mom made a pennant out of vintage floral handkerchiefs.

Flower seeds wrapped in paper doilies were our party favors.

Our vintage chic cake embellished with fondant flowers & a pennant I made myself.

Lots of appetizers & treats.

Water with a taste of cucumbers.

Myself & my sisters Kelsey, the bride, & Kacie, the soon-to-be mommy.

My mom ordered some vintage wedding bingo cards off Etsy & we used old buttons as markers.

My daughter Paige enjoying some blue punch out of our mason jar glasses.

Vintage Gift Wrap

With my sister's bridal shower & wedding having a vintage theme I had to come up with some vintage inspired gift wrapping ideas.  Here is what I came up with:

Wrap a doily around a box & tie the box together with a thin piece of twine.

I love using burlap to make gift bows.

This is the card I came up with.  I think I found these letter stamps at Michaels.  I punched the heart out of thicker cardboard like cardstock and punched a hole in the corner.  I then attached the heart with a piece of silk satin ribbon.

Finally, I wanted to come up with a unique gift for my sister & her new hubby's wedding gift.  I purchased a gift card from my sister's favorite vintage shop in Rockford, IL Urban Farmgirl and wrapped the card in an old book.  Before wrapping the book up, I used some stamps and stamped a message to the bride & groom on the inside cover of the book.  I cut a strip off a paper bag and wrapped it around the book.  I then ripped a strip of muslin and tied it around the book.
