This past January I participated for the first year in The Sketchbook Project.  When you sign up for the project you are sent a blank sketchbook and it's up to you what you want to fill the pages with.  I thought & thought about it and since I love inspirational quotes I chose to fill my book up with creative quotes.  Here is a peek into my Sketchbook:

A Snowy Day Inside

- A Snowy Day Inside-

I am always trying to find creative ways to keep my kids busy.  While on my drive home from my daughter's school this morning, I thought up a fun idea.  I shared my plan of bringing some snow inside with my little man Hunter and he was ecstatic!  Of course, as soon as we walked into the house, Hunter was ready to dig into the SNOW.  I went out and scooped up a bowl full of snow and Hunter went to town piling up the snow on an old cooking pan.  I thought we would end up with water everywhere, but it actually was really no mess.  After several trips outside for snow, Hunter was content with his snow pile.  He played with his cars, trucks, and the snow for a good hour, which is amazing because it is quite impossible to keep a 3 year old boy's interest for more than 10 minutes =) Here are some pictures of Hunter's fun...

Going YoYo Crazy!

Lillyan Lou is going Yoyo crazy!

With the New Year amongst us I thought I would share some of my new favorite accessories I have created.  I am crazy for the old time yoyo!  I love picking out new trendy fabrics and stitching the yoyos together.  I came up with a bib necklace design to incorporate the yoyos into.  I made a bib necklace for myself matching the one above, it is my new favorite accessory.  I also accented some military caps with yoyos and made headbands and snap clips with them also.
